Ralph Waldo Emerson said the Law of Cause and Effect is the “law of laws”.

This equates to “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”, yet per your nature, it shows a corresponding “like” or match to action. If your cause is along the line of fear, you will be fearful, and likewise is true if your cause is love, happiness, gratitude, you will see it shine through in glimmers of hope, joy and laughter even on the gloomiest of days.

Cause and Effect with Gratitude

How does one begin to create more of joy instead of despair, happiness over sadness, love over hate? Seek it within the individual. Granted, what’s true for me, is certainly not true for you and yet there is a myriad of ways you can find something to pivot from, or at least grab on to, and attempt milking it for all its worth.

True, earnest gratitude for yourself, and others on your path builds slowly over time deep within. It becomes easier and easier to express no matter what life condition comes your way and you will begin to see your world and everything in it begin to change. You will find that the happier you are, the happier you are and will not be able to tolerate being in a negative flow for very long, quickly finding your center once again by focusing on all you do have to be grateful for.

Gratitude, a quality of being thankful should start with each of us.

Cause and Effect with Gratitude

A readiness to show appreciation for those who are assisting you on your individual journey, even those that are showing you more of the dark side of human nature. For without them, we can’t appreciate what is good, great or grand. Show, appreciate and mean it for the cashier, the mail man, the wait staff. When standing in a long line this holiday season remember the person working is only human and your appreciation for their time goes a long way into their appreciation for the next several people in line behind you. Allow them to milk your kindness for all it’s worth.

Allow your cause to be gratitude. The effect will shine brightly on you in terms of a heart full of love, many laugh lines, leaving joy where ever you go and most of all, uplifting someone in your wake. Your world will forever be changed for the better.
